ICC chief raps US sanctions on court, vows to keep pursuing mission

International Criminal Court chief Tomoko Akane pledged in a statement to the U.N. General Assembly on Monday that the court will continue its work on behalf of victims of serious crimes despite U.S. attempts to undermine its mission. The Japanese jurist appeared in a pre-recorded video before the assembly to deliver the court’s annual report.
