Teodoro backs tight scrutiny of China state firm funds sent to PH execs

MANILA, Philippines—Any funds given to a public official by a Chinese state-owned enterprise must be subjected to the “highest level of scrutiny,” according to Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Teodoro was commenting on alleged deposits by Chinese firms  to companies linked to Vice President Sara Duterte’s husband, lawyer Manases Carpio. “Sa ngayon (For now), we are still waiting
