Mahmoud Abbas postpones Palestinian legislative elections another year

RAMALLAH, West Bank — President Mahmoud Abbas postponed what would have been the first Palestinian elections in nearly 20 years, issuing a decree on Friday to further delay voting for the Palestinian Legislative Council almost another year. Poland suspects assassination attempts on PM, defense minister

Poland's interior ministry said Sunday that the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz may have been targeted by assassination attempts. Pope Leo XIV will undergo surgery to remove nodule on his lung

VATICAN CITY — Pope Leo XIV announced Sunday he will undergo surgery in the coming days to remove a nodular lesion on his lung that was recently discovered during medical checks.
