A Hidden Legacy to be Revealed in Upcoming Film Documentary - Early Stages of Project Has Begun

Special Guest : David Copperfield

Los Angeles, Aug 6, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - In a time where so many of us are home, wondering " what next? ", and afraid of what human contact can do, a newly formed production company, Weinberger World Pictures, has decided to focus their attention on the power of human contact in a whole different light - MAGIC

" It was in 2010 when I attended the West Coast memorial service for the late Bob Elliott, in Oceanside, CA " - Producer David J. Weinberger says. I walked into the home of Bob's widow, and lovely wife, Happy Elliott, and admired on the wall belongings of Bob that remained; a jacket that hung with the remembrance of a soul that once wore it, letter correspondences, silver dollars, a broken wooden magic wand. The broken wand being a protocol for when a respected magician dies, they break his/her magic wand, releasing a solemn tone into the room where the ceremony is taking place. A tone that rings to the sound of a "spell" being broken, and a life now over."

However, the everlasting golden rays of Bob's life were anything but over, because Bob had changed the lives of so many, using magic as a mechanism to instill confidence in children, or teaching the likes of "Ace" Greenberg (of Bear Sterns) sleight of hand, and being a mentor to some of the greatest people in magic, such as Bob did for a young man named David S. Kotkin, who became a living legend - David Copperfield

" Years had gone by and I wanted to do something about bringing recognition to Bob Elliott. After all, Bob never wanted to be in the public eye, or filmed, or care about self-notoriety. I reached out to his wife and after many conversations and a meeting joined by my girlfriend Maria A. Soto, (another producer on the project), we went to her home near San Diego. Hours later it was set, I was given the green light to make the film, now entitled " BOB ", with Happy Elliott as the Co-Producer ", says Mr. Weinberger.

Fast forward a year or so later, and with the blessing of having David Copperfield on board, providing the film with a deep and insightful interview on Mr. Elliott, as only Copperfield knew, the production company then put a teaser together to give a glance into the project.

Spoilers? Ok, maybe just one...

Over the course of some 40 years that Bob taught and mentored magic, he never charged a penny. That is one major angle and essence of what the film intends to encapsulate; the utterly indescribable humanity of this man. Other angles? You will have to wait and see, after all, just as in Magic, you never tell the audience in advance what you are going to do...

To learn more about the project, a crowd-funding has been set up:

The production company is seeking to raise only a modest $30,000 and states " all pledges are appreciated, we wish to get to the goal and hopefully beyond " says David Weinberger.
