December 7, 2017, Gibraltar – STK is delaying its Token Generation Event to coincide with STACK’s public beta launch in January, 2018. The public token sale will run from January 31 to February 14, 2018. The STK pre-sale is currently running and will end as scheduled on December 10, 2017 at 16:59 UTC.

STK is the first mass market instant cryptocurrency payment solution, providing access to more than 33 million merchants around the world.

“There is a growing demand for improved liquidity of cryptocurrency,” said Miro Pavletic, Director of STK. “Having a beta product in the market during our token sale will provide the first public proof-of-concept in the cryptocurrency payments space and solidify our position as the premiere mass market solution for instant crypto payments at point of sale.”

STK is also reducing its hard cap to $17MM USD, projecting early traction to support funding for future deliverables.

“Based on the response from our community and investment network, we’re anticipating fast growth in our initial markets,” said Pavletic. “This will allow us to replace a higher hard cap with early revenue, fuelling international expansion and supporting a larger user base.”

The STK token supply will remain the same at 500,000,000, of which 55% will be available for sale for a total public supply of 275,000,000. The token price has been updated to $0.10 USD. Token distribution will be based on the conversion rates from Ether to USD 24 hours before the close of the public sale or when the sale hard cap is reached, whichever comes first.

Jared Kushner's family firm accused of pushing out tenants

Jul 16, 2018

NEW YORK — The hammering and drilling began just months after Jared Kushner's family real estate firm bought a converted warehouse apartment building in the hip, Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Tenants say it started early in the morning and went on until nightfall, so loud that it drowned out normal conversation, so violent it rattled pictures off the walls. So much dust wafted through ducts and under doorways that it coated beds and clothes in closets. Rats crawled through holes in the walls. Workers with passkeys barged in unannounced. Residents who begged for relief got a standard reply, "We have...

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Malaysian lawmakers took their oath in Parliament on Monday, including former Prime Minister Najib Razak, who has been charged in a massive corruption scandal that led to his coalition's electoral defeat. The swearing-in ceremony of 221 lawmakers opened the first Parliament session after Najib's long-ruling coalition was ousted in May 9 elections, ushering in Malaysia's first change of power since independence from Britain in 1957. Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, the world's oldest leader at 93, made his return to Parliament for the first time in 15 years after ending his retirement to challenge Najib over the...

From jail, Pakistan's ex-PM Sharif appeals his sentence

Jul 16, 2018

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan's jailed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appealed his 10-year prison sentence on Monday, his party spokeswoman said, just days after returning to the country ahead of parliament elections later this month. Violence has escalated in the run-up to the balloting, with horrific attacks over the weekend killing 153 people, including a provincial assembly candidate during an election rally in southwestern Baluchistan province. Sharif was sentenced in absentia on July 6 over his family's purchases of luxury apartments in London. If the judge grants the appeal, Sharif could be released on bail, pending his retrial. Amid investigations and tensions, Trump-Putin going 1-on-1

Jul 16, 2018

HELSINKI — With rattled world capitals watching, President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin are ready to go one-on-one in a summit that plays out against a backdrop of fraying Western alliances, a new peak in the investigation into Russian election meddling and fears that Moscow's aggression may go unchallenged. Monday's meeting was condemned in advance by members of Congress from both parties after the U.S. indictment last week of 12 Russian military intelligence officers accused of hacking Democrats in the 2016 election to help Trump's presidential campaign. Undeterred, the American president is set to go face-to-face with Putin, the...

KABUL, Afghanistan — The Taliban stormed a police checkpoint in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province and killed seven policemen, a provincial official said Monday. The attack took place the previous night in the district of Ghani Kahil, said the provincial police chief, Ghulam Sanayee Stanikzai. Five Taliban fighters were killed in the attack, he said.
