$18 Million Development Planned For Broken Arrow Will Help Broken Arrow Homes

Finding a home in Broken Arrow will be easier than ever now with the new development of the $18 million development in the Rose District.

Broken Arrow, United States - January 12, 2018 /PressCable/ —

With the announcement of the new $18 million mixed-use development in the Rose District of Broken Arrow, local residents can begin to expect the community to blossom in more ways than one. While the new development will offer more opportunities for commercial purposes as well as residential, neighborhoods outside of the Rose District can expect to benefit.

Ronda Butler of Ronda Butler & Associates Realtors, a local realtor and common face around town, says to expect the community to start bustling and growing, making room for more homes in the city. “Broken Arrow is already Oklahoma’s third largest city, but with this new development, it will create the need for more housing, and as one can see with Broken Arrow, the city knows how to adapt!”

With the potential boom in housing, it seems that now may be the perfect time to look for a new home is a home shopper is looking to move into Green Country or farther away from the hustle and bustle of Tulsa.

“Those who already own a home in Broken Arrow,” says Ronda, “will be the first to say that there is no better place to live and raise a family than here. Now, add in the culture and allure of the Rose District and the new development that is coming, those prospects are only going to increase and become that much more true.”

Add this new, state-of-the-art development in the heart of downtown Broken Arrow paired with January being one of the best months to buy a home in Broken Arrow, and one could make the argument that now is the best time to move to a community like this. With thriving prospects, a community that always has their neighbors backs, and a city that believes in rejuvenation and livelihood, one can expect this community to blossom into the beautiful Rose District that it is.

Jan 18, 2018

NEW YORK — Morgan Stanley's earnings fell 59 percent in the fourth quarter, the company said Thursday, as the investment bank had to book $990 million in charges related to the new tax law. Morgan Stanley earned $686 million, or 29 cents a share, down from $1.67 billion, or 81 cents a share, from a year earlier. Excluding the tax charges, the earnings rose to 84 cents a share, beating analysts' forecasts, from 74 cents. Like other banks, Morgan Stanley had to write down the value of its deferred tax assets, which are effectively tax credits the bank stockpiled after...

Long-term mortgage rates rise: 30-year hits 4.04 percent

Jan 18, 2018

WASHINGTON — Interest rates on long-term home loans rose this week. The rate on the benchmark 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage hit the highest level since May 2017. Mortgage giant Freddie Mac says the 30-year rate rose to 4.04 percent this week from 3.99 percent last week. The rate on 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages, popular with homeowners who are refinancing, rose to 3.49 percent from 3.44 percent. "Inflation is firming ... This means upward pressure on long-term rates, like the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, is building," Len Kiefer, Freddie Mac's deputy chief economist, says in a statement. He cites a Federal Reserve report out...

Egypt raises 'extreme concern' about Nile dam with Ethiopia

Jan 18, 2018

CAIRO — Egypt's president on Thursday expressed his "extreme concern" to Ethiopia's visiting prime minister over the lack of progress in talks on the impact of a massive upstream dam that Egypt fears could cut into its vital share of the Nile. President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi has warned that Egypt's share of the Nile, which provides nearly all its freshwater, is a red line. But he has also sought to reassure Ethiopia and Sudan that Egypt has no intention of going to war. El-Sissi was grim-faced during most of a news conference he jointly addressed with Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn after...

Emirates throws Airbus A380 a lifeline with $16 billion deal

Jan 18, 2018

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The Middle East's largest airline, Emirates, is throwing Airbus a lifeline for its troubled A380 jumbo jet. The carrier said Thursday it struck a deal with Airbus to buy 20 of its A380 double-decker jets, with the option to buy 16 more, in a deal worth $16 billion. Airbus had said earlier this week that if it didn't close the deal with Emirates, it would end production altogether of the jet. The plane has been difficult to sell in part because of its unusually large size, which can be hard to fill and requires bigger...
